Recovery Manager for Active Directory

Active Directory のディザスタリカバリと個別オブジェクトの迅速な復元

Recovery Manager for Active Directory を使用すると、Active Directory（AD）、システム構成、またはグループポリシーのデータを破損する人的エラーおよびハードウェアやソフトウェアの障害により生じるシステムのダウンタイムや生産性の損失を防ぐことができます。 また、バックアップを自動化し、バックアップを AD の現在値と素早く比較することにより、変更を正確に示して、即座に希望のデータを復元します。

オンラインの個別復元機能を実行することで、選択したディレクトリやオブジェクトまたは個々の属性を復元できます。AD をオフラインにする必要はありません。 時間を節約するこのソリューションにより、コストの削減と生産性の向上を実現します。

機能

  • AD のごみ箱 - ウィザードベースのコンソールがリカバリのプロセスを効率よくガイドし、Active Directory のグラフィカルなごみ箱を提供します。スクリプトを作成する必要はありません。
  • オンラインの個別復元 - ドメインコントローラを再起動せずに、ディレクトリのオブジェクトを復元します。 これにより、ダウンタイムや、ネットワークにログオンしたユーザへの影響を排除することができます。
  • 比較レポーティング - レポートを使用して、AD のオンライン状態をバックアップと比較し、バックアップ以降ディレクトリのデータに適用された変更を強調表示します。 また、異なるバックアップ間で比較を行うこともできます。 レポートには、属性を含め、削除または変更されたオブジェクトが表示されます。 クエストの ChangeAuditor® をお使いの場合は、変更を実行したユーザの情報も比較レポートに表示されます。
  • 包括的なリカバリオプション - ユーザ、グループ、コンピュータ、組織ユニット（OU）、サイト、サブネット、構成、Exchange ストレージグループ、およびグループポリシー・オブジェクト（GPO）など、AD の任意のオブジェクトを復元することが可能な、この種のソリューションでは唯一の製品を利用できます。
  • 属性レベルの復元 - オブジェクト自体が削除されていない場合でも、アカウント設定や、グループのメンバーシップ、バイナリ属性などの個々の属性を復元することができます。 このため管理者は、変更の必要ない属性を維持したままで、目的の属性だけを復元できます。
  • スケーラブルで柔軟な AD のバックアップ - ピーク以外の時間にバックアップを実行するようスケジュールを設定し、ドメインコントローラのシステム状態のバックアップを 1 か所で管理します。 バックアップは 1 か所もしくは分散した場所に保存するか、あるいはドメインコントローラに残すことができ、必要な帯域幅を最小に抑え、任意のサイズの環境に合わせて規模を調整できます。
  • ディザスタリカバリの保護 - AD のバックアップの健全性が自動的に監視され、バックアップに失敗した場合やエラーが発生した場合には E メールでアラートが送信されます。 Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 と System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 向けの Quest Management Pack では、それぞれ対応する監視コンソール内に、バックアップの健全性のステータスとアラートが表示されます。 このため、バックアップが正常に作成されていることや、ディザスタが発生した場合に保護されることを常に確認できます。
  • Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) のバックアップと復元 - AD LDS オブジェクトのバックアップとオンライン復元を実行します。 削除されたり誤って変更された AD LDS オブジェクトの復元が可能で、復元の際に AD LDS サービスを再起動する必要はなく、サービスが干渉を受けることもありません。

Before installing Recovery Manager for Active Directory, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

These figures apply only if the Active Directory domains managed by Recovery Manager for Active Directory include 1 million objects or less.
Increase RAM size by 512 MB for every additional 1 million objects.

Note: Additional storage space is required for a backup repository, at least the size of the backed-up Active Directory database file (Ntds.dit) and the SYSVOL folder plus 40 MB for the transaction log files.

Note: When installed on a Windows XP-, Windows Server 2003-, or Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer, Recovery Manager does not support working with the following:
—Domain controllers or AD LDS (ADAM) hosts running Windows Server 2012
—AD LDS (ADAM) hosts running Windows 8

Targets for backup, restore, compare, and clone operations
You can use Recovery Manager to perform backup, restore, compare, and clone operations on computers running any of the following operating systems (both x86 and x64 platforms are supported):
—Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (including Server Core installation)
—Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 without Service Pack or with Service Pack 1 (including Server Core installation)
